Thanks, Rachael. He was my all-time favorite kitty, which surprises me in retrospect, because I got mad at him and threatened to murder him more often than I’ve ever done with any other animal! I guess an animal which inspires passion—whether positive or negative—is bound to have a permanent place in one’s heart!
Oh, yes. My favorite cats have been sneaky and pesky like Max; they drove me bonkers, but I couldn’t stay upset with them for long. The current group of kittens will likely be that way, too. Maxie certainly left pawprints on your heart. Hope you and your cats are doing well.
We are doing very well, here on the Oregon coast. I just got back from my Saturday morning jaunt up to the bakery a few blocks away, where a hardy group of locals meets just to have coffee, a sweet, and an hour of chatting about whatever comes up. Today the topic ended up being beavers and the fact that they are a foundational animal for our local ecosystem. Very interesting! The cats are getting older and a little more limited in their mobility, but we’re enjoying each other.
Love,
Kit
Oh, the little marmalade and white one looks so much like my Max! What a lovely kitty he was. I miss him. Thanks for the reminder, Rachael.
Awwwww! Magnificent Maxie! What a fun and mischievous boy! I miss him, too, and he wasn’t even my kitty. >^..^<
